The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight places during industrial and construction applications. They are also recognized for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. 360° continuous rotating turntables offer quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, which is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were inaccessible by conventional jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This particular feature allows over and up reaching tasks to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system which allows for valuable time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully raised simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing both efficiency and productivity.
