Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
The Genie DC and Bi-Energy machinery offered by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for instance, in industrial environments where the machine needs to travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and advantages of a diesel powered generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC machine.
Several of the important features provided by this combination comprise out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing offered by most models, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
The drive and proportional controls offer the machinery with smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. For quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an extra working range for specific jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is ideal for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This particular model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine extreme lifting versatility and over, up and out positioning capabilities. The outreach provided by this particular type is second to none in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on most models and have a tight turning radius. These equipment are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. Furthermore, they provide grade and terrain maneuverability, utmost power and excellent torque. The diesel engines are quiet in general too. Nearly all models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on rough and uneven surfaces.
High ground clearance is offered in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and provide added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models too.
