Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is utilized for lifting and lowering loaded pallets from high storage spaces. This particular type is suitable for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, such as warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires that make maneuvering easy.

The operator of this type of forklift usually stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design allows the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: one in the back, and two in the front. This configuration allows for easy and fast maneuvering. There are several versions of these forklifts that come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the whole equipment. The sit-down model normally has four wheels.

An electric engine is used to power numerous narrow aisle forklifts. Electric-powered equipment do not produce exhaust fumes and are quiet, making them the suitable alternative for closed areas such as retail spaces. Some lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. However, the diesel model is not suggested for indoor use because it can produce exhaust and be quite noisy.
