The Combilift company was founded by two great engineers, Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar. Between them, they had more than 40 years of engineering experience when they founded the company during 1998 within Monaghan, Ireland. In just more than a decade, Combilift became a leader within the long handling market all around the world, delivering machinery to more than 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors which have helped expand distribution into numerous markets around the world and utilizing their extensive knowledge and experience, Moffett and McVicar have created equipment that are in high demand and had sold 10,000 models by mid 2009.

There are a variety of mast options for the C-Series Combilifts, while these machines provide as much as nine meters and lift capacities that top out at 25,000 kilograms. Available engines are in diesel, electric or battery and gas or LPG and the C-Series Combilifts could work in guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
The Combilift Straddle Carriers could carry fully loaded containers which can weigh up to 35 tons. The SL-Series is much different from other side-loaders because of its ability to drive in four directions. This multi-directional steering is available with the cab on the left or on the right. This hydrostatic, all-wheel drive forklift can benefit companies in many ways, one of which is to enable facilities to have narrower aisles. It also enables the capability to block or bilk stack by driving forward. This extremely manoeuvrable truck is usually considered to be a superior alternative as opposed to numerous standard sit-down sideloaders because of the many extra features and capabilities.
