The narrow aisle forklift has been made to function in narrow storage spaces by increasing the ratio between the space and the aisle width. Yale produces the double reach NDR and single reach NR models that are used for aisle widths between eight and ten feet. The Yale Narrow Aisle trucks use best-in-class ergonomics and offer a Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment which has different control handle and stance configurations.
NDR & NR Productivity Enhancements
Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment: To meet a wider range of operations, there are numerous control handle configurations such as the aft stance, the choice of fore, and the side-stance options.
AC Motor Technology: This technology offers powerful deceleration and acceleration as well as fast lifting speeds. It has been manufactured for quick plugging in order to facilitate more responsive directional changes that combine to increase the amount of loads transported during a shift.
Reach & Mast Assembly: The tapered roller and trunion mounting bearings are part of the mast reach assembly. This increases the rigidity and durability of the mast; along with the reach assembly carriage that are reinforced for long life as well as the gusseted rear frame weldment.
Power Lowering: To greatly improve the overall throughput and productivity, Yale provides industry leading uploading speeds and lowering speeds.
Regenerative Lowering: While regenerative lowering could reduce battery changes per shift it also works to maintain a lower oil operating temperature.
Electronic Steering: The electronic steering eliminates the need for hydraulic pumps and therefore greatly reduces energy. The steering tiller is adjustable by the operator and the technician could adjust the steer effort in order to reduce operator exhaustion. In the start-up process, drive tire centers automatically start.
Order Selectors: The very narrow aisle trucks and the narrow aisle trucks are also known as order pickers. These equipment are made for the manual handling of racked loads which are smaller than pallet size. These order selectors elevate both the cargo and the operator to its required height. This height can be in excess of 30 feet. Like the majority of turret trucks they are usually wire or rail guided when used in very narrow aisle applications.
